NSW Health Pathology (NSWHP) offers a range of services beyond our clinical diagnostic services to support health professionals in caring for people at all stages of life, right across the state.
Our expert clinical and scientific teams specialise in chemical pathology, haematology, transfusion, anatomical pathology, microbiology, immunology and genomics and genetics.
We are innovating and developing new services to better suit the needs and expectations of our customers and partners across NSW.
Test catalogue
NSWHP has developed an online statewide test catalogue. This single source of truth provides accurate, real-time and reliable testing information for thousands of tests.
It provides a level of detail not previously available, including guidance on specimen collection, transport and handling, patient preparation information and advice. There’s also an interactive pathology request form.
You can access the test catalogue on your mobile or desktop device.

Our locations
We have more than 60 labs and over 150 collections centres right across NSW, as well as support teams based at our St Leonards and Newcastle offices.

Courier services
Having an agile and efficient statewide specimen transport network is a critical part of our day-to-day operations. NSWHP employs a team of 120 couriers who collect and transport some 15 million pathology specimens across NSW each year.
Transporting samples from our collections centres to our laboratories means patients get the answers and treatment they need, regardless of where they live in NSW.
