Implementation Lead/Program Manager - Clinical Transformation
Darug.Rifky Balgahom is currently the Implementation Lead and Program Manager in Clinical Transformation for Statewide Microbiology, where he plays a key role in delivering transformational initiatives aligned with the NSW Health Pathology vision for our laboratories of the future. As a Quality Management Consultant, he was responsible for driving the standardisation of quality management processes as part of the Fusion QMIS (Quality Management Information System) project which lead to the implementation of QPoint, our statewide QMIS.
Prior to this role, Rifky was the Senior Hospital Scientist and Microbiology Laboratory Manager at Nepean Hospital for over 10 years. Throughout his career, he has worked across all levels of the microbiology discipline, with a strong focus on optimising laboratory workflows and introducing syndromic infectious diseases multiplex PCR assays.
