Mr Peter Loxton has an extensive and diverse background with 40 years’ experience in the public sector, including 26 years in senior management roles. Since then, he has managed his own management consulting business and served on several boards.
Mr Loxton spent 16 years in senior executive roles with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), including managing all radio networks, states and departments, and as the head of ABC Radio. He then worked for 10 years as Assistant Director-General, NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet and acted as a Director-General in five agencies.
For the past 14 years, he has provided high-level reviews and advice to government and business focusing on strategy, governance and mentoring in a wide range of subject areas.
Mr Loxton is enthusiastic about being actively involved with ideas, innovation, strategy, leadership and communication, to make important things happen.

Our Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) enacts the strategy of NSW Health Pathology and directions of the NSW Health Pathology Board. Members ensure we deliver quality, human-centred pathology and forensic and analytical science services across NSW.
Strategy & Transformation
Sets strategic direction and drives service transformation to meet the evolving needs of patients and partners in healthcare. Responsible for planning, performance and innovation, and operational management of genomics, point of care testing and six clinical streams.
