Awabakal.NSWHP CIO James Patterson leads a dynamic team of ICT professionals at a time of unprecedented technology-driven transformation in provision of pathology services.
He leads innovative strategies to exploit the full potential of NSWHP IT systems, to enhance the connectivity of its statewide operations and to leverage the vast quantities of data generated every day. He is a vocal advocate for digital innovation in key laboratory technologies and automation, miniaturisation of instruments, development of personal testing devices, distance processing and diagnosis of digital representations of specimens and more.
James commenced his career in the banking and financial services sector here and in London. He has successfully applied technologies for sustainable services with layered, value-adding features and capabilities. Now he actively pursues valuable partnerships with technology industry leaders to drive innovation in health to deliver the best possible patient care.
