Elia is the Busi­ness Ana­lyst at NSWHP East based in Rand­wick and Camper­down. This is a mul­ti­fac­eted role that involves work­ing with many sys­tems and process­es and there­fore he has close work­ing rela­tion­ships with a broad spec­trum of staff includ­ing in the Lab­o­ra­to­ries, ICT, Finance, Oper­a­tions, HR, Qual­i­ty, and Research. He is pas­sion­ate about pro­vid­ing edu­ca­tion, devel­op­ment, and growth oppor­tu­ni­ties to all NSWHP staff and to this end he is active­ly involved in build­ing NSW Health Pathol­o­gy’s Data Lit­er­a­cy Devel­op­ment Pro­gram. He is also inter­est­ed in sys­tems and inter­faces that improve effi­cien­cy and safe­ty and sees a great poten­tial for bet­ter human-machine inter­faces to reach this goal.
