As a clin­i­cian researcher, Anoop has the unique oppor­tu­ni­ty to work direct­ly with patients and dri­ve the trans­la­tion of lab research devel­op­ments into clin­i­cal prac­tice. Our patients are a con­stant inspi­ra­tion in our jour­ney to research new treat­ments for blood disorders.

Work­ing in col­lab­o­ra­tion with clin­i­cal col­leagues, sci­en­tif­ic staff, researchers and stu­dents, Anoop aims to rev­o­lu­tionise health sys­tems, bring­ing world class research to the Hunter region as well as explore nov­el treat­ments and diag­nos­tics to improve out­comes in terms of improved health, qual­i­ty expe­ri­ence and sys­tem efficiencies.

Anoop is the clin­i­cal lead for the acute myeloid leukemia and myelodys­pla­sia pro­gram at the Cal­vary Mater hos­pi­tal. As the mol­e­c­u­lar haema­tol­ogy lead, Anoop estab­lished of the statewide mol­e­c­u­lar haema­tol­ogy mas­sive par­al­lel sequenc­ing and DNA microar­ray. Anoop is the Myelodys­pla­sia clin­i­cal lead and co-chair of leukaemia work­ing par­ty for the ALLG.
