Cytologists work in our Anatomical Pathology departments using microscopes to examine the structure and function of individual cells helping doctors diagnose disease, often cancer.
Forensic pathologists are medical doctors who work principally with the justice system and play a vital role in the work of the criminal and coroners courts.
Our Forensic Scientists provide independent, objective analysis to the NSW health and justice systems. They help solve crimes and safeguard public health.
Medical Laboratory Scientists play a critical role in the operation and management of our laboratories and work in a wide range of pathology disciplines while enjoying teaching and research opportunities.
Medical Laboratory Technicians run tests and calibrate and maintain lab equipment ensuring we provide fast, reliable accurate results for patients and clinicians. They may also work in our forensics and research labs.
Molecular scientists work in our various departments using specialised equipment and techniques to detect and interpret genetic information for haematological malignancies, cancer, chromosomal abnormalities, pathogen genomics and more.
