My Health Record uploads

NSW Health Pathology has been provided an extension of time to upload all pathology reports by default to My Health Record.

The extension applies to 31 December 2027.

The Australian Digital Health Agency agreed additional time is needed to enhance current information systems to support full compliance.

Our Clinical ICT and Fusion teams are working deliver these enhancements as part of the scheduled roll-out of the Single Digital Patient Record across NSW.

Your results will continue to be sent to your requesting doctor.

We will continue to upload most non-sensitive inpatient hospital results to My Health Record. Some reports may not be uploaded.

Common or known issues continue to affect result uploads for patients who:

  • Are privately-referred (e.g. tests requested by GPs or specialists outside the hospital setting) or
  • Attend NSW Health Pathology community collection centres or
  • Attend hospital outpatient clinics.

While you or your requesting doctor may elect to withhold certain pathology results from My Health Record, our current information systems do not yet have this functionality.

To ensure your privacy and safety, we will not upload results for number of sensitive or excluded test categories during the transition to compliance.
