Ms Car­men Rech­bauer has a back­ground in pub­lic and pri­vate enter­prise and has been a senior leader in NSW Health for over 25 years. She was the first mem­ber of the found­ing team that built Health-Sup­port, the organ­i­sa­tion that would mature into HealthShare NSW. 

As Chief Exec­u­tive of HealthShare NSW, Ms Rech­bauer is hon­oured to lead a statewide organ­i­sa­tion of more than 7,500 employ­ees, the largest pub­lic sec­tor shared ser­vices organ­i­sa­tion in Aus­tralia. Under her lead­er­ship, HealthShare NSW is work­ing to mature its ser­vice mod­els with a strate­gic focus on peo­ple and cul­ture, col­lab­o­ra­tion and sustainability. 

Ms Rech­bauer is pas­sion­ate about work­ing in part­ner­ship with NSW Health agen­cies to dri­ve improved patient out­comes and greater val­ue for the sys­tem. She holds a Mas­ter of Busi­ness Admin­is­tra­tion and has been recog­nised on the NSW Top 50 Pub­lic Sec­tor Women list.

Sets strategic direction and drives service transformation to meet the evolving needs of patients and partners in healthcare. Responsible for planning, performance and innovation, and operational management of genomics, point of care testing and six clinical streams.
