After graduating UTS with a B.App.Science (microbiology/ clinical chemistry), Dan Thompson started working in pathology in 1981 at the laboratory at Singleton hospital.
Was laboratory supervisor at the Cessnock Laboratory 1997–2003, then laboratory supervisor at the Singleton laboratory 2003–2014.
From 2014 until present, Dan is the Acting zone manager, Zone 2 NSW Health Pathology, Point of Care.
