René start­ed his career in pathol­o­gy as a col­lec­tor and with­in three years tran­si­tioned into the role of a couri­er dri­ver. His col­leagues said that it was here that René was able to cap­ture the hearts of every­one he met.

With 19 years of ser­vice at NSW Health Pathol­o­gy, René has shown remark­able loy­al­ty and ded­i­ca­tion to his pro­fes­sion. His exten­sive expe­ri­ence and knowl­edge have undoubt­ed­ly con­tributed to the effi­cien­cy and effec­tive­ness of his work, ben­e­fit­ting both col­leagues and patients.

René has been known to con­sis­tent­ly sup­port his co-work­ers. He has worked close­ly with var­i­ous team mem­bers, fos­ter­ing a sense of cama­raderie and teamwork.

His col­leagues have said “he loves his col­leagues and loves to talk to every­one he meets along his jour­ney. There is not a day that goes by where René is not mak­ing a joke and mak­ing some­one laugh. It is very notice­able when Rene has a day off work; it is not quite the same with­out him”.
