Michelle is the R3 Pathol­o­gy Research Coor­di­na­tor for the Upper Hunter, Mid North Coast and North­ern New South Wales, regions. She is the con­tact per­son for Clin­i­cal Tri­als and Research in these region­al, rur­al and remote regions.

Her key respon­si­bil­i­ties are:

– liai­son between clin­i­cal tri­als and research teams at any point in the devel­op­ment, nego­ti­a­tion and set up of clin­i­cal tri­als and research,
– the estab­lish­ment of quotes and con­tracts, for research and clin­i­cal tri­als requir­ing NSWHP services.
– facil­i­tat­ing seam­less com­mu­ni­ca­tion between Pathol­o­gy lab­o­ra­to­ries and research teams

Michelle has 38 years of expe­ri­ence in the health sec­tor in both met­ro­pol­i­tan and rur­al hos­pi­tals. Her exper­tise lies in mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary liai­son, clin­i­cal tri­als coor­di­na­tion, acute nurs­ing, project man­age­ment, and education.
