Lisa Gon­za­lez is cur­rent­ly the Sci­en­tif­ic Skills Devel­op­ment Coor­di­na­tor respon­si­ble for design­ing and imple­ment­ing the new Grad­u­ate Pro­gram. Lisa has 30 years of expe­ri­ence in pathol­o­gy and holds a BSc and a MSc in Med­ical Micro­bi­ol­o­gy from UTS. Pre­vi­ous­ly, she worked as a Hos­pi­tal Sci­en­tist at Liv­er­pool Micro­bi­ol­o­gy for 27 years. Her inter­ests are in antibi­ot­ic stew­ard­ship, qual­i­ty, and patient safe­ty. Lisa is also a pas­sion­ate work­place train­er and change agent.
Lisa has worked in many areas of the Micro­bi­ol­o­gy lab­o­ra­to­ry. From 2020, she worked on the rede­vel­op­ment project for the new Liv­er­pool Pathol­o­gy lab­o­ra­to­ry. This project sparked her keen inter­est in behav­iour­al change and organ­i­sa­tion­al cul­ture. Her goal is to use her expe­ri­ence and new skills to facil­i­tate the learn­ing, devel­op­ment, and engage­ment of staff of NSW Health Pathol­o­gy. Lisa’s projects require col­lab­o­ra­tion with peo­ple at all lev­els of the organ­i­sa­tion and ensure our ser­vice is designed with humans at the center
