Operations Manager, South West Sydney

Rudy Angulo is the Operations Manager at NSW Health Pathology’s South Western Sydney. Based at Liverpool, he is responsible for ensuring efficient, timely, financially and clinically effective laboratory operations and the delivery of high quality, locally responsive, diagnostic and consultative services.
Rudy holds BSc & MSc degrees (UNSW), a Diploma in Law (LPAB), Grad Diploma in OH&S (Univ of Newcastle) and Diploma in HR (AHRI). His professional career started in UNSW Biochemistry as a Molecular Biology Research Assistant and then HIV Research Scientist at the Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick.
Rudy’s career in Pathology began in 1991, working in the Immunopathology Department, ICPMR, Westmead in Flow Cytometry & Molecular Diagnostics. Since 2001, Rudy had various roles incl. OH&S Manager, Quality Manager, General Administrator at Division of Analytical Laboratories (FASS) and as a Service Unit Manager of Multifunctional laboratories in Sydney West and Far West NSW.

Our chemical pathologists analyse chemicals in our body fluids and tissues to help diagnose and manage disease. They play a unique dual role of doctor-scientist, looking at changes in human body chemistry for screening, diagnosis, prognosis and management.
Supports delivery of efficient, effective and transparent services. Includes legal, risk management, internal audit, policy, privacy, records management and GIPA (freedom of information) functions.
Our immunologists help us better understand and treat diseases of the human immune system.
