Senior Hospital Scientist

She/her. Gadigal, Bidjigal. Dr. Sacha Stelzer-Braid

Dr Stelz­er-Braid man­ages the Nucle­ic Acid Test­ing (NAT) Lab­o­ra­to­ry with­in the Serol­o­gy & Virol­o­gy Divi­sion (SAViD) POWH Rand­wick. The lab­o­ra­to­ry tests blood sam­ples from organ & tis­sues donors, for blood borne virus­es (incl. HIV, HBV, HCV and serol­o­gy). Dr Stelz­er-Braid is also Qual­i­ty Man­ag­er for SAViD.

Dr Stelz­er-Braid has more than 15 years expe­ri­ence in research, con­cen­trat­ing on res­pi­ra­to­ry viral infec­tions in patients with chron­ic res­pi­ra­to­ry diseases.
