About our Criminalistics service
Criminalistics is a forensic science that analyses physical evidence from crime scenes.
Our Criminalistics experts provide independent, objective analysis for NSW Police Force investigations into criminal matters including missing persons, and illicit drug analysis.

They provide expert testimony in criminal and coronial matters.
Teams offer comprehensive testing, reporting and expert testimony for all aspects of illicit drug analysis, including rapid analysis for time-sensitive submissions and drug importations.
The unit analyses ignitable liquid residue relating to arson investigations using highly specialised instruments.
It identifies chemicals in unknown substances and a range of evidence types including gunshot residue, paint, glass and fibres.
