The HR Support Services’ ‘A day in the life of’ video project produced 11 videos that showcase the passion we have in pathology and the amazing work our people do every day, in every role, to care for our communities, for all of us.
This was a new and innovative way for us to showcase employment opportunities and engage with prospective talent differently by giving people a ‘sneak peek’ into what a ‘day in the life of’ key pathology roles really looks like.
It was also a great opportunity to build on our RITE culture, bringing us together as one NSW Health Pathology – a united but diverse workforce made up of people who go above and beyond every day to create better health and justice systems.
The videos have had very positive feedback from both external stakeholders and internally, as they demonstrate how proud we are as an organisation to showcase our staff. The employees featured in the videos also enjoyed seeing their roles promoted and celebrated.
Making the videos was a truly collaborative effort, as our HR Support Services team worked with our laboratory managers, operations managers, Strategic Communications team, and of course our video ‘talent’ themselves to develop, produce and promote the videos. This was not always an easy process, as COVID-19 meant filming onsite was not always possible, which impacted logistics and delayed the production schedule.
The team is proud to have found an innovative way to showcase our employees, promote our job opportunities, and highlight NSW Health Pathology as a great place to work.
