About our strategy

In alignment with Future Health and in partnership with the broader health and justice system, we are strengthening our statewide service and exploring new technologies to deliver trusted pathology and forensic services that care for communities, protect the public and enable our partners across NSW.

Our refreshed Strategic Plan

NSW Health Pathology operates in a fast-changing and complex world. The NSW health and justice systems face growing pressures, while community expectations continue to shift.

This context creates urgency and an opportunity to rethink how we deliver services and strengthen integration across NSW.

Our Strategic Plan 2026–2032 has been developed through extensive consultation with our people, partners, customers and communities across NSW. This has been our most extensive planning consultation to date, providing rich and meaningful insights that shaped the strategy and highlighted immediate opportunities to improve the way we work and the services we deliver.

While our strategic objectives are consistent statewide, how they are delivered will reflect local context, service models and workforce realities.
