Communications Manager
Emma joined the NSW Health Pathology Strategic Communication team in early 2022 to support the organisation’s Strategy and Transformation portfolio.
Emma prides herself on building honest, collaborative relationships, and providing reliable advice and communication services to support Genomics, Point of Care Testing, Innovation and Planning and Performance. She also supports Chief Executive Tracey McCosker via the Office of the Chief Executive portfolio.
Emma worked in print journalism before moving into public health communication with HNE LHD in 2007. She has extensive experience in contentious media issues management, and Executive and Ministerial Services (EMS) including ministerial and parliamentary briefs, responses to MPs, patient complaint responses and Health Care Complaints Commission matters.
Emma’s professional interests include sustainability, advancing Aboriginal Health, health infrastructure and planning and change management communication.
