Strategic Plan 2026–2032
Who we are
NSW Health Pathology is part of Australia’s largest public health system, supporting safe, high-quality care for people across NSW.
We are a single, statewide pathology and forensic service, delivered through experienced local teams in laboratories, hospitals and communities across the state. Every day, we provide the test results, insights and expertise that support patient care, public health and the justice system.
Our scientists, clinicians and specialist teams are involved in some of the most complex and critical work in healthcare and forensic science. From routine testing to highly specialised diagnostics, our work helps guide clinical decisions, respond to public health risks and support justice.
As we continue to grow, we are becoming more connected as one service. Shared systems, consistent standards and collective expertise are helping us deliver more reliable, equitable and resilient services across NSW, while staying closely connected to local communities.
We are also advancing the science of pathology. By investing in new technologies and innovation, including genomics and emerging diagnostic tools, we are improving how diseases are detected, understood and treated.
What remains constant is our commitment to care, quality and trust. We are here to deliver safe, high-quality services, support our partners and communities, and uphold the integrity and standards that people rely on.
